ABOUT  ME

I am a professor, poet, writer, songwriter, screenwriter and 80's girl who is a little bit Sandra Dee and a little bit Rizzo. I'm the good girl with three tattoos. The champagne-loving bohemian. The home-bodied vagabond. (oh, and I teach English Comp, because I need wine.)

I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (Poetry) from Spalding University, where I studied with poetic heavy-weights such as Molly Peacock, Rane Arroyo, Greg Pape and Barbra Hamby.

I have had poems published in Elephant Journal, UCity Review, Blood Lotus online journal, Barbaric Yawp, The Cresset and Main Street Rag, among others.

My chapbook, A Sentenced Woman, was published by Finishing Line Press in 2007.

I published my chapbook Potpourri in 2015 and my chapbok Dearly Beloved: the Prince poems in 2016.

I am currently seeking a home for my full-length poetry manuscript, Confessions of a Love Junky.
